Privacy Policy

In short: Zeedit has no accounts, no login, no ads, and no analytics SDKs of any kind. Your videos and photos are processed entirely on your device. The only things that leave your device are audio and text, and only when you deliberately tap a feature that needs them.

1. What we do not collect (by default)

Name, email, phone number, or any user account — the app has no login
Location, contacts, calendar, health data, or financial data
Apple's advertising identifier (IDFA) — we do not track you across apps or websites
Your videos and photos — they are read for editing on-device and never uploaded

2. What leaves your device, and why

About that device ID: it is a random 128-bit number the app generates at install time. It is not issued by Apple, is not linked to your Apple ID, says nothing about you, and is deleted when you delete the app. It exists to count, not to identify.

3. Third-party processors

All requests pass through our own proxy server first, then on to these providers depending on the feature you use:

ElevenLabs — speech-to-text (policy)
OpenAI — fallback transcription and subtitle text cleanup (policy)
Anthropic — content assistance (policy)
Pexels — free stock photos and video (policy)
Giphy — GIF library (policy)
Supabase — our proxy server (policy)

We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone outside this list.

4. Retention

Our proxy forwards requests immediately and does not store audio or text content
What is stored is a per-device, per-day request counter, which resets daily
All projects, drafts, and exported files stay on your device — deleting the app deletes them

4.1 Helping train the AI (optional · off by default)

Only if you opt in inside the app: when you correct a word the transcription got wrong, the app collects the following to improve Thai speech recognition:

The before/after text pair of the subtitle segment you edited, plus which transcription engine produced it
A short audio snippet around that correction only (a few seconds) — never the whole file

This data is keyed to a random, anonymous identifier that is separate from your account and your device id. We store no name, email, or anything that links back to you. Without opt-in, nothing is collected and every feature works exactly the same.

You can change your mind anytime in Settings → Help train the AI: switch it off to stop collection, or tap "Delete my training data" to permanently remove everything you have contributed from our servers.

5. Children

Zeedit is rated 4+ and is not directed at children specifically. Because the app has no user accounts, no personal information is collected from users of any age.

6. Permissions the app requests

Photo library — to pick videos and images to edit
Save to photo library — to save your exported video
Microphone — to record voiceover, only while you are recording

Each permission is used only for its stated purpose, and you can revoke any of them at any time in Settings → Zeedit on your device.

7. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page. Changes that affect what leaves your device will be announced in the app before taking effect.
